Americans

We have been talking with our 6 year old Alanna a lot about adoption and about bringing another baby into the family. I really want her to feel a part of this process and not that this process was put onto her. (Does that make sense?) So we've been telling her that the new baby might look different then us, different color skin, hair, etc.

Her only requirement was this:

"Just as long as they are American. Because America is the land of the free and I want freedom."

Hmmm...I'm going to visit her school on Monday.

"...And I proudly stand-up next to you and defend her still today, there ain't no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA"
